This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of electrical projects.
• Ensure that installations comply with specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations.
• Offer expert guidance for projects led by consultants.
• Evaluate and validate design packages and project documentation from external engineering firms.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Rockwell computer-aided design software to create engineering outputs.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide optimized project solutions.
• Supervise installation and construction activities to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory codes.
• Manage documentation processes and testing protocols.
• Estimate engineering, equipment, material, labor, and construction costs for project budgets and approvals.
• Lead electrical initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time or as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of industrial electrical engineering design experience, or over 6 years in designing and supporting industrial electrical systems.
• Proficiency in designing, programming, and troubleshooting Rockwell ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View systems.
• Capability to design and support industrial networks, device integrations, and communications between PLCs, drives, and process equipment.
• Familiarity with grounding, lighting, low-voltage power distribution, and NEC guidelines for industrial electrical installations.
• Skill in creating electrical plans, schematics, interconnection drawings, PLC sets, and single-line diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Experience in developing specifications, standards, and compliance documentation for competitive bidding processes.
• Professional background in heavy industrial environments.
• Physical capability to work around industrial equipment, climb ladders and stairs, and wear PPE in designated areas.
• Ability to work autonomously, build relationships within the plant, and execute tasks effectively in field settings.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
• Preferred: Experience in specifying, commissioning, and troubleshooting Kinetix or Delta RMC motion systems.
• Preferred: Knowledge of NFPA and OSHA electrical safety regulations.
• Preferred: Experience in developing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Preferred: Ability to specify and procure MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and related equipment up to 15kV.
• Preferred: Experience with Schweitzer protective relays, short-circuit studies, overcurrent-device coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis.
• Preferred: EIT or PE licensure in at least one state.
