Electrical Apprentice – Installation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Acquire practical experience with conveyor systems.

• Execute layout and component pre-assembly for conveyor systems.

• Install header steel, platforms, structural steel, conveyors, guard rails, racks, and air piping systems.

• Detail and run in the equipment that has been installed.

• Benefit from mentorship and training provided by journeyman electricians.

• Adhere to safety guidelines, employer rules, and directions from assigned journeyman personnel.

• Participate in necessary classroom training while engaging in on-the-job learning.

• Achieve OJL objectives and keep up with work experience documentation.

• Travel extensively for extended periods within the continental United States.

⛳️ Requirements

• Commit to learning and executing the responsibilities of a first or second-year apprentice as specified in the OJL of the Dematic Apprenticeship Agreement.

• Understand and follow all safety regulations and employer guidelines.

• Comply with specific instructions provided by the designated journeyman electrician.

• Meet the expectations outlined in the Dematic Electrical Apprenticeship Standards.

• Attend and successfully complete all required classroom training.

• Fulfill OJL objectives as detailed in the Dematic Apprenticeship Agreement.

• Maintain and submit records of work experience from OJL.

• Open to traveling 100% within the continental United States.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Technical degree or specialized training is preferred.

• Capability to read and understand engineered drawings.

• Must have a strong awareness of safety practices.

• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• Effective communicator who is receptive to guidance.

• Ability to push, pull, squat, crawl, and navigate around large construction sites in diverse climates and environments.

• Some computer skills are preferred; basic knowledge of emailing, spreadsheet input, and report input.

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
