Electrical Apprentice – Installation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Acquire and execute the responsibilities of a first- or second-year apprentice as outlined in the Dematic Apprenticeship Agreement.

• Adhere to safety protocols and employer regulations while following the guidance of the assigned journeyman electrician.

• Meet the Dematic Electrical Apprenticeship Standards in all tasks performed.

• Participate in mandatory classroom training sessions.

• Achieve on-the-job learning objectives and keep accurate records of OJL work experience.

• Assist with the layout and pre-assembly of conveyor system components.

• Install header steel, platforms, structural steel, conveyors, guard rails, racks, and air piping systems.

• Detail and operate installed equipment effectively.

• Be prepared for extensive travel over long durations across various projects within the continental US.

⛳️ Requirements

• Function as a first- or second-year apprentice in accordance with the Dematic Apprenticeship Agreement.

• Attend and successfully complete all required classroom training sessions.

• Fulfill OJL objectives satisfactorily and maintain as well as submit OJL work experience records.

• Willingness to travel 100% within the continental US for extended periods.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Capability to read and understand engineered drawings.

• Strong safety awareness is essential.

• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• Proficiency in pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and navigating large construction sites in diverse climates and environments.

• Some computer experience is preferred, including basic email, spreadsheet input, and report generation.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• A technical degree or specialized training is preferred.
