This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Supervise the secure, compliant, and efficient operation of Leep Utilities’ assets.
• Coordinate on-site contractors and ensure that all operational activities adhere to required standards.
• Establish, monitor, and evaluate contracts to ensure that service levels and key performance indicators are consistently met.
• Report performance metrics and issues to the Director level, ensuring operational practices align with business needs.
• Execute tasks in accordance with the department’s Terms of Authority and RACI matrix.
• Utilize current templates, guarantee precise documentation, and correctly maintain records.
• Comprehend and enforce regulatory and contractual obligations across the entire portfolio.
• Assist the UK Electric Operations Manager with site operations and maintenance tasks.
• Oversee the daily operations of High and Low Voltage networks.
• Manage financial processes, including purchase orders, invoicing, and budget oversight.
• Review and tender operational contracts as necessary.
• Ensure the effectiveness of contractor management processes and adherence to them.
• Maintain asset and operational compliance with all applicable legislation.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure new assets are handed over with complete and adoptable records.
• Ensure sufficient site inspections and performance evaluations of contractors.
• Uphold high standards of health and safety, quality, and environmental compliance for subcontracted services.
• Participate in the electrical or Control Engineer on-call rota.
• Extensive knowledge of the utilities sector and its regulatory framework.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical networks.
• Proven capability to manage utility contractors with an emphasis on quality, safety, and compliance.
• In-depth understanding of HV/LV network operations, maintenance, and asset management.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety systems and audit processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements within the electricity sector.
• Proficient in operational IT systems, reporting tools, and documentation practices.
• Adaptable, proactive, and dedicated to ongoing learning.
• Effective communicator with robust relationship-building abilities.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and associated audits.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with teams, contractors, and operational staff.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
