This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, introduce innovative products and services, and aid in achieving regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality objectives.
• Develop and deliver technical solutions that meet customer requirements, influence specifications, and create high-quality proposal content that emphasizes scope, advantages, and compliance.
• Offer technical leadership for Field Service proposals, which includes site evaluations, material and labor needs, competitive analysis, and support for engineering work scopes, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Relay fulfillment needs to sourcing and operations, record competitor activities, and assist with NPI programs to sustain a robust market position.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or Electrical Engineering) from an accredited institution with 7 years of experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience (experience with Power Distribution upgrades, Relay upgrades, and Arc Flash Mitigation Solutions is preferred).
• Experience in application engineering or field engineering related to power delivery products and systems, along with experience engaging with customers in sectors such as Oil & Gas, metals, mining, paper, Power Gen, data centers, commercial buildings, or similar industries is preferred.
• Proficiency in reviewing customer specifications, crafting proposals, and managing contract development and negotiations is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in delivering impactful presentations and interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership abilities with a customer-centric approach; skilled in collaborative environments to devise complex, integrated solutions.
• Innovative problem solver with a creative outlook on challenges, capable of developing and authoring technical specifications and proposals utilizing the complete ABB portfolio.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by ABB in the US.
