This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in field and sealant operations by minimizing environmental, health, and safety risks at construction sites.
• Develop and enforce safety programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify, implement, and sustain field safety processes to avert injuries.
• Foster a robust safety culture and ensure employee accountability.
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses, site inspections, and audits.
• Provide OSHA compliance and safety training for new hires while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Address unsafe actions and acknowledge safe practices.
• Establish and monitor safety objectives to safeguard employees and reduce company liability.
• Oversee workers’ compensation cases and assist injured employees in returning to work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; perform root-cause analysis and suggest corrective measures.
• Assess and propose enhancements for PPE and safety equipment.
• Collaborate with leadership, safety committees, and project teams to incorporate and oversee safety measures.
• Analyze trends using various tools, techniques, and data collection methods, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Travel frequently, primarily to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, with potential travel to other states as necessary.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction safety, including environmental compliance and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in safety management, construction management, industrial hygiene, or a related field preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
• CHST certification is preferred.
• OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction certifications are preferred.
• Familiarity with fall protection systems, rigging, and crane operations is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.
• Capacity to wear necessary PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, and hard hat.
• Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments.
• Capability to climb stairs, traverse uneven surfaces, and safely navigate through industrial work areas.
• Ability to work in proximity to moving equipment, machinery, noise, dust, vibration, and outdoor weather conditions.
