EHR Data Report Writer, Developer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts that support clinical, operational, financial, and quality initiatives.

• Collaborate with BHcare departments to translate business requirements into reporting and EHR solutions.

• Configure, test, implement, and provide support for EHR enhancements, workflows, forms, interfaces, and system upgrades.

• Diagnose and resolve reporting, application, and data-related issues.

• Offer technical support and training to end users.

• Oversee and ensure data integrity, system performance, and integrations between the EHR and other platforms.

• Manage user access administration.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

• Assist with data governance initiatives.

• Work alongside vendors and internal stakeholders to promote continuous improvement, system optimization, and regulatory reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of two years of report development experience; OR four or more years of directly related experience may substitute for a degree.

• Proficient in advanced SQL, including multi-table joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and query optimization.

• Experience in developing reports and supporting applications within a production environment.

• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and management of protected health information (PHI).

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Candidates must be residents of Connecticut.

• Preferred: Experience in EHR administration, development, or support.

• Preferred: Experience with Qualifacts CareLogic.

• Preferred: Understanding of 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.

• Preferred: Reporting experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or community health.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Pentaho, Looker, or similar ETL and business intelligence platforms.

• Preferred: Experience using AI tools for SQL development, data analysis, or technical documentation.
