This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Obtain read and write access to fragmented practice EHRs through various methods including FHIR APIs, HL7 feeds, VPN/remote access, portal pulls, SFTP drops, or CSV exports.
• Ensure EHR data is directed to engineering for cleaning, normalization, and modeling.
• Collaborate with EHR vendors and practice IT teams to negotiate access and resolve connection issues.
• Draft and oversee Data Transfer Agreements with external providers.
• Create and implement clinical notifications, such as GDMT prompts, care gap alerts, ADT-triggered discharge notifications, and transitions-of-care signals.
• Transform raw patient data from various EMR formats into standardized target data models.
• Utilize AI tools to extract, normalize, and route unstructured clinical data.
• Assist in partner and payer data integrations, which include eligibility files, claims, attribution data, and return files.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on data cleaning, normalization, modeling, ingestion troubleshooting, and data warehousing.
• Convert operational requirements into reliable data flows that serve clinical, network, and practice-facing teams.
• Develop monitoring, error handling, and documentation to ensure reliable integrations.
• Guarantee compliance with HIPAA and data protection regulations during data transmission and handling.
• Achieve live transitions-of-care read access for 70% of patient coverage within the first 90 days.
• 5–7+ years of experience in healthcare technology, EHR implementation, or interoperability.
• Proven history of obtaining live data access across multiple ambulatory EHR systems.
• Familiarity with APIs, HL7/FHIR, VPN access, portal pulls, or other unconventional integration methods.
• Understanding of FHIR, HL7v2, and C-CDA interoperability standards.
• Experience in managing vendor and practice-IT relationships to secure access.
• Proficiency in both API integrations and practical workaround strategies.
• Knowledgeable in eligibility, claims, attribution, transitions of care, and GDMT concepts.
• Capability to use SQL, Python, or automation tools such as Claude.
• Must be able to pass a basic coding assessment.
• Possess a pragmatic, ownership-oriented mindset.
• Familiar with HIPAA and data protection requirements related to clinical data transmission and third-party data sharing.
• Reside in the Eastern or Central time zone.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Occasional travel to practice sites or Chamber offices as required.
