Educational Content Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Education & Enablement Manager and subject matter experts to assess learning needs.

• Create and develop self-paced e-learning courseware, video tutorials, interactive modules, microlearning, guided walkthroughs, and job aids.

• Construct scenario-based content focused on customer personas and fictional firm settings.

• Design time-of-need performance support and educational materials for market introduction.

• Formulate assessments and knowledge checks.

• Implement adult learning principles, the learning objective matrix, Karbon design map, brand guidelines, and accessibility standards.

• Oversee quality review and refine content from initial draft to review-ready state.

• Utilize AI tools for storyboarding, scripting, research, and asset creation; ensure outputs are accurate and instructional.

• Evaluate AI tools and document successful strategies.

• Enhance and sustain knowledge of Karbon products and industry trends.

• Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, Product, Marketing, and subject matter experts.

• Analyze learner data, customer feedback, and product usage to suggest enhancements.

• Report on content effectiveness and the impact of Karbon Academy.

• Assist with learner and customer education inquiries, LMS administration, consumption reporting, and certification badging.

• Within the first 90 days, complete Karbon Academy, publish a course module, navigate a course through the AI-assisted workflow, and present performance data with actionable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or the development of educational content.

• A portfolio available for review.

• Experience incorporating AI into a real production workflow.

• Excellent written English skills.

• Ability to simplify complex technical topics into clear, practical content.

• Capacity to become knowledgeable in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax workflows.

• Confident in asynchronous communication across different time zones.

• Strong visual design abilities.

• Comfort with completion rates, feedback scores, and usage metrics.

• Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools is advantageous.

• Skills in video production/editing, motion graphics, or voiceover work are a plus.

• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 / Section 508 is a bonus.

• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a bonus.

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial services is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with Karbon is a bonus.

• Experience designing for global audiences and multiple regulatory environments is an advantage.
