This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.
• Provide technical guidance for quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation systems, and data utilization within the Education sector.
• Act as the custodian for the Child Results Area in Education.
• Assist in the design and operation of digital education quality systems, including the Measuring Education Quality Achieved platform.
• Enhance evidence generation, data quality, portfolio monitoring, annual reporting, and learning to inform decision-making.
• Produce analytical outputs that identify trends, data quality challenges, implementation gaps, and actionable insights.
• Support the development, execution, and review of global education indicators, tools, and reporting processes.
• Ensure that education data is comprehensive, accurate, timely, and in line with organizational standards.
• Serve as the main contact with external partners on M&E tools and systems, such as Tangerine.
• Oversee the operations, capacity building, and daily functioning of the MEQA platform.
• Create digital observation tools and Power BI dashboards for MEQA and future digital M&E solutions.
• Collaborate with Digital Solutions to integrate AI tools where suitable and feasible.
• Provide technical user support; contribute to system enhancements, troubleshooting, documentation, and user guidance.
• Strengthen evidence building and utilization with M&E, Education, and other colleagues.
• Generate and synthesize evidence for learning, performance assessments, and program enhancements.
• Document lessons learned, best practices, and outcomes monitoring.
• Lead the preparation of Education annual reports, case studies, and knowledge products.
• Conduct periodic reviews of indicator trends, data completeness, data quality, and dashboard insights.
• Facilitate the M&E Education community of practice.
• Develop learning tools in collaboration with the Knowledge Management and Capabilities Advisor.
• Enhance staff capacity in quality assurance, M&E systems, data interpretation, and dashboard utilization.
• Offer coaching and technical assistance to teams.
• Create and maintain dashboards, visualizations, summary products, analysis briefs, trend reviews, dashboard summaries, and data quality reports.
• Conduct routine education data analysis and convert findings into recommendations.
• Encourage data-driven decision-making at project, national, and regional levels.
• Improve the communication of findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Digital Monitoring Systems or another relevant discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in education Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), quality assurance, or data systems.
• Strong experience in developing and managing backend digital data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools in Power BI, Excel, KOBO, or similar analytics tools.
• Proven track record in producing analysis briefs, dashboard narratives, data quality reviews, and decision-support products for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation abilities.
• Quick learner of new digital platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL).
• Experience in the education sector is preferred but not required if strong MEAL expertise is present.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
• Experience in translating data into actionable program improvement strategies.
• Experienced facilitator with a strong understanding of adult learning methodologies.
• Knowledge of the global education landscape, trends, and emerging issues.
• Comfort in utilizing technology to enhance program quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English at a professional and technical level.
• Fluency in another language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally and/or internationally up to 30% of the time.
