Editorial Layout Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and edit editorial content in line with project specifications

• Implement necessary modifications and corrections to documents

• Generate and submit editable files, source files, and final PDFs per the established guidelines

• Ensure visual consistency across all materials throughout the production process

• Request approval for unexpected changes prior to execution

• Engage in editorial projects including books, sheet music, music booklets, essays, scripts, and photographic and documentary publications

• Specialize in one or more areas: music, text, and photography

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in editorial layout design

• Expertise in professional desktop publishing software and preparation of print files

• Understanding of typography, image resolution, color management, and prepress processes

• Capable of accurately reproducing PDF layouts while maintaining fonts, text, layout, sheet music, author credits, and other original components

• Willingness to present a portfolio showcasing completed projects

• For initial work on music projects, prior experience with sheet music is required

• Higher education is preferred

• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience
