This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Edit promotional, digital, and medical communication materials to ensure consistency and adherence to grammar, punctuation, spelling, AMA, client, and house style guidelines.

• Revise promotional advertisements, websites, and other digital content, as well as public relations, social media, and new business proposals.

• Verify information against source materials for accuracy.

• Review changes for correctness and uniformity.

• Confirm reference lists against provided citations.

• Proofread finalized copy meticulously, word by word.

• Assess layouts for spacing, leading, kerning, type size, font choice, justification, and white space considerations.

• Update brand-specific style guides following brand and medical/legal evaluations.

• Offer general editorial support as required.

• Report directly to an Editorial Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, ideally in communications or health sciences.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.

• Keen attention to detail with the capability to meet strict and shifting deadlines.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Capacity to learn and implement style guides effectively.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Willingness to put in extra hours to meet tight deadlines.

• 1–2 years of editorial experience is preferred.

• Experience in healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical advertising, or medical communications is advantageous.

• Familiarity with American Medical Association style is a plus.
