This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create original multiple-choice questions in economics and finance that assess deep conceptual and quantitative comprehension.
• Formulate challenging problems across pertinent topics in economics and finance.
• Craft self-contained, clear, unambiguous, and independently solvable questions for undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.
• Generate one correct answer along with nine plausible distractors for each question.
• Evaluate pre-existing questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, and completeness.
• Detect flawed assumptions, mathematical inaccuracies, ambiguities, and issues regarding solvability.
• Revise questions and answer options while documenting substantial changes with analytical justifications.
• Develop content related to quantitative finance and market microstructure, focusing on algorithmic trading, liquidity, execution, price formation, and trading behavior.
• Formulate macroeconomics and financial policy problems that address macroprudential policy, financial stability, systemic risk, monetary conditions, and policy interventions.
• Create questions in behavioral finance and experimental economics, interpreting experimental data and behavioral datasets.
• Develop content in urban economics and applied economic analysis covering cities, housing, labor markets, transportation, spatial economics, and public policy.
• Formulate questions on tokenomics and decentralized finance that include topics such as incentives, protocol economics, market mechanisms, governance, liquidity, pricing, risk, and participant behavior.
• Provide 1–5 academic references per question as necessary.
• Create structured solution explanations and assess question difficulty.
• Assist in maintaining consistent analytical and academic quality across benchmark content.
• Contribute to the development of gold-standard evaluation materials for advanced AI capabilities.
• A PhD or current doctoral candidacy in Economics, Finance, Financial Economics, Quantitative Finance, or a closely related field.
• A Master's degree may be considered for candidates who possess exceptional expertise in a relevant subdomain.
• Strong proficiency in graduate-level economic theory, quantitative methods, and financial modeling.
• Expertise in one or more areas: Algorithmic Trading, Market Microstructure, Macroprudential Policy, Behavioral Finance, Experimental Economics, Urban Economics, Tokenomics, or Decentralized Finance.
• Strong capability to analyze quantitative models, assumptions, and financial data.
• Excellent written English skills and the ability to communicate complex economic and financial concepts clearly and accurately.
• Academic research publications are highly appreciated.
• Professional experience in quantitative finance, investment research, economic policy, financial markets, or related fields is beneficial.
• CFA, CPA, FRM, or similar professional credentials are highly regarded.
• Experience in university-level teaching, examination development, or academic assessment is an advantage.
• Strong attention to analytical precision, mathematical consistency, and quality of evidence.
• Work must be conducted without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this engagement.
• Flexible scheduling based on project requirements.
• Fully remote and asynchronous work environment.
• Engagement as a part-time independent contractor.
• Expected availability of at least 10 hours per week.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded depending on project needs and performance.
• Compensation ranges from $65 to $90 per hour.
