eCommerce Tech Lead – SAP Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical development of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) applications while actively contributing to the codebase.

• Offer technical leadership to a team of developers by promoting coding standards, best practices, and solution implementation.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and Solution Architects to deliver exceptional eCommerce solutions.

• Balance hands-on development with mentoring, code quality assurance, and delivery ownership.

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise eCommerce applications leveraging SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).

• Act as the technical lead for one or more Agile development teams.

• Develop complex features, custom extensions, integrations, and reusable components.

• Convert functional and technical requirements into high-quality application code.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.

• Mentor and assist developers through technical guidance, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

• Work with architects to implement approved solution designs and uphold technical standards.

• Estimate development effort and engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.

• Identify and resolve complex application issues across development, testing, and production environments.

• Enhance application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with QA to ensure comprehensive unit, integration, and functional testing.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management.

• Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 7–10 years of experience in software development.

• Over 4 years of practical experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development.

• Demonstrated experience leading development teams on enterprise eCommerce initiatives.

• Strong grasp of software engineering principles and secure coding practices.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Technical expertise: Strong practical experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development.

• Proficient in Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

• Experience in developing and customizing: Core Commerce Services OCC APIs, Backoffice CMS, Components, Business Process Engine, CronJobs, Impex, FlexibleSearch, Solr, Search & Navigation, Spartacus, Angular.

• Experience in building integrations with SAP and third-party systems utilizing REST, SOAP, or Integration APIs.

• Strong knowledge of: Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Performance Tuning.

• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JUnit.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
