EAP Counselor – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Deliver solution-oriented, short-term counseling to a variety of clients dealing with personal and workplace issues.

• Evaluate client requirements, set objectives, and formulate tailored strategies within EAP coverage.

• Develop customized, actionable plans.

• Keep precise clinical records and documentation.

• Work in conjunction with TELUS Health’s internal EAP team.

• Accept or reject referrals based on contractual guidelines.

• Provide EAP counseling services face-to-face, via telehealth, or through video conferencing.

• Record clinical notes in the database, process billing, and update provider profiles as needed.

• Uphold professional standards in interactions with clients and the TELUS Health team.

• Remain updated on mental health best practices and pursue continuous professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a clinical license and the ability to practice independently.

• Have three or more years of post-graduate counseling experience.

• Carry Professional Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 per aggregate.

• Adhere to professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards, as well as TELUS Health policies, procedures, guidelines, and applicable regulations.

• Notify TELUS Health of any complaints, citations, or investigations that could impact your license or credentials.
