Due Diligence Associate, Spanish/Chinese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct a range of due diligence evaluations

• Oversee multiple files and maintain ongoing communication with intermediaries and agents

• Grasp concepts related to FCPA and the UK Bribery Act to appropriately request follow-up actions and assess received information

• Execute database searches for key individuals and company names across various platforms

• Analyze search outcomes and send suitable follow-up inquiries to intermediaries and agents

• Create high-quality professional reports within expected timelines

• Support consulting and additional projects utilizing due diligence expertise

• Provide translations leveraging foreign language proficiency

• Review compliance materials that are prepared in other languages

• Assist colleagues with files requiring proficiency in Spanish and/or Chinese

• Collaborate within the Research Team and report directly to the Due Diligence Manager

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid documentation permitting work in The Philippines

• Fluent in Spanish and/or Chinese as well as English (writing, speaking, listening, and reading)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Intercultural Communication, Political Science, Law, International Studies, Library Science, Languages, or a related discipline

• At least one year of office experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience with MS Word and Excel

• Relevant research experience and/or large-firm paralegal background

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

• Strong time-management, analytical, and issue-identification abilities

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize various assignments

• Understanding of corporate ownership frameworks

• Familiarity with Lexis Diligence and/or Westlaw
