Due Diligence Associate, Spanish/Chinese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Conduct a range of due diligence assessments.

• Oversee multiple cases and maintain ongoing communication with intermediaries and agents.

• Comprehend FCPA and UK Bribery Act principles to request suitable follow-ups and evaluate information against product specifications.

• Execute database searches for key individuals and companies across various databases.

• Assess search outcomes and issue appropriate follow-up inquiries to intermediaries and agents.

• Create high-quality professional reports within expected timelines.

• Contribute to consulting and other projects utilizing due diligence expertise.

• Provide translations that support Tcompliance products and initiatives.

• Review Tcompliance materials that have been prepared in other languages.

• Assist colleagues with cases requiring Spanish and/or Chinese language proficiency.

• Report directly to the Due Diligence Manager and collaborate with the US Research team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid documentation allowing work in Malaysia.

• Complete fluency in Spanish and/or Chinese as well as English (writing, speaking, listening, and reading).

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Intercultural Communication, Political Science, Law, International Studies, Library Science, Languages, or a related discipline.

• At least one year of office experience.

• Minimum of two years’ experience with MS Word and Excel.

• Relevant research experience and/or large-firm paralegal background.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

• Strong abilities in time management, analysis, and identifying issues.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize various assignments.

• Understanding of corporate ownership structures.

• Familiarity with Lexis Diligence and/or Westlaw.
