This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Accountable for delivering program management oversight to a single client, necessitating the coordination of program requirements across various planning phases with several subcontractors.
• Oversees all program phases from initiation to completion.
• Responsible for the financial, scheduling, and technical performance of company programs.
• Serves as the main point of contact for the customer regarding program activities, facilitating program review sessions to discuss costs, schedules, and technical performance.
• Directs the overall program strategy, planning, and execution for Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and/or cost-plus contracts.
• Creates detailed project plans encompassing scope, timeline, budget, and resource distribution, while coordinating internal funding execution and government customer obligations throughout the fiscal year.
• Manages financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and variance analysis.
• Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates program risks while implementing effective contingency strategies.
• Inspires and leads diverse teams of project managers, engineers, analysts, and subcontractors, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Establishes performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensures complete contract compliance, quality assurance, and adherence to all regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Recognizes and enacts continuous process improvements to boost efficiency and service delivery.
• Frequently engages with key stakeholders from government clients to nurture strong relationships and synchronize strategic priorities.
• Proven experience in program management within defense or government contracting settings.
• Track record of successfully managing multi-year contracts generating $20M+ in annual revenue alongside multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong financial expertise with a background in budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and contract financial oversight.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of defense industry practices, regulations, and contractual stipulations.
• Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance at the time of consideration.
• Program Manager 2: 6 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelors in a related field; 4 years of relevant progressive experience with a Masters in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of relevant progressive experience.
• Program Manager 3: 8 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelors in a related field; 6 years of relevant progressive experience with a Masters in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years of relevant progressive experience.
