Driver Recruiter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the recruitment process for drivers while maintaining a talent pool of potential candidates.

• Identify, recruit, screen, and interview qualified driver candidates utilizing cold calling, email outreach, databases, and online recruiting tools.

• Foster a positive workplace culture, prioritize quality performance, ensure a safe environment, and enhance the professional experience for drivers.

• Stay informed about local labor markets, processes, and policies related to drivers.

• Comprehend the licenses and documentation needed for hiring CDL drivers across various US states, including OTR, local, and regional drivers.

• Assist eligible candidates with completing employment applications and ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted.

• Manage driver hours effectively to reduce overtime while upholding customer service and delivery standards.

• Perform background checks and road tests, and provide necessary training for drivers.

• Ensure adherence to company, client, OSHA, and Department of Transportation regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Conduct and document safety inspections of facilities while assisting in remedying any identified deficiencies.

• Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries, preparing requisite reports.

• Develop and implement local accident and injury prevention strategies and programs.

• Organize and deliver training and orientation sessions.

• Hold monthly safety meetings for employees and drivers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably within the transportation sector.

• Prior experience in driver training, recruitment, and safety compliance is advantageous.

• Experience in hiring drivers across various US states is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of HOS, DOT regulations, and driver welfare.

• A minimum of three years of truck driving experience is beneficial.

• Strong understanding of the trucking industry.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
