Driver Recruiter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the recruitment process for drivers and maintain a pool of potential candidates.

• Identify, recruit, screen, and interview qualified driver candidates via cold calling, email, databases, and online recruiting platforms.

• Foster a positive culture, ensure quality performance, maintain a safe environment, and enhance the professional driver experience.

• Stay informed about local labor markets, processes, and policies related to drivers.

• Assist eligible candidates with their employment applications and necessary documentation.

• Manage driver hours to reduce overtime while meeting customer service and delivery standards.

• Perform background checks and road tests, and provide training for drivers.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, client expectations, OSHA guidelines, and Department of Transportation regulations.

• Conduct, review, and document safety inspections of facilities and help rectify any deficiencies.

• Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries, preparing relevant reports.

• Develop local plans and programs for accident and injury prevention.

• Schedule and deliver training and orientation sessions.

• Hold monthly safety meetings for employees and drivers.

• Collaborate closely with the safety and compliance department.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably within the transportation sector.

• Prior experience in driver training, recruitment, and safety and compliance is advantageous.

• Required experience in hiring drivers from various states across the United States.

• In-depth knowledge of HOS, DOT regulations, and driver welfare.

• A minimum of three years of truck driving experience is beneficial.

• Strong understanding of the trucking industry.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
