Drayage Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily drayage operations related to container movements

• Plan and supervise container pickups and deliveries

• Liaise with drivers, clients, rail terminals, ports, and warehouses

• Monitor container availability and track shipment status

• Handle documentation associated with container transport

• Generate and process customer invoices along with carrier payments

• Ensure billing accuracy and address any billing discrepancies

• Track detention, demurrage, and per diem charges

• Collect and organize BOLs, PODs, and other shipping documents

• Update TMS and internal systems with precise shipment details

• Proactively address operational issues and communicate updates to stakeholders

• Assist the operations team with additional administrative tasks as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in US drayage or intermodal operations (mandatory)

• Experience in coordinating container transportation

• Prior experience in operations, billing, or administrative support within a drayage context

• Comprehensive understanding of container logistics, rail terminals, ports, chassis management, as well as demurrage, detention, and per diem

• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS)

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail

• Capability to work independently and assume responsibility for daily tasks

• Proficient in written and spoken English
