This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement divisional or regional strategies that promote growth, profitability, operational excellence, and long-term scalability in line with the overall objectives of Kelso Industries.
• Act as a principal decision-maker and strategic collaborator with operating company leadership, providing guidance, support, and accountability throughout the portfolio.
• Assist in identifying prospective growth opportunities within the division, including market expansion, service line development, leadership capabilities, and operational maturity.
• Represent the enterprise priorities of Kelso while balancing the entrepreneurial culture and local market advantages of each operating company.
• Oversee divisional or regional P&L performance, including revenue, expenses, margins, cash flow, and overall profitability across operating companies.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the division, ensuring adherence to financial commitments.
• Discover and implement opportunities to enhance profitability through operational efficiencies, cost management, pricing discipline, productivity improvements, and revenue enhancement strategies.
• Collaborate with finance and operating company leaders to enhance financial transparency, reporting practices, and performance accountability.
• Propel organic growth by increasing market share, enhancing service offerings, fortifying customer relationships, and supporting operational execution.
• Manage the integration of new acquisitions, ensuring alignment with the standards, values, operational expectations, and strategic priorities of Kelso Industries.
• Support the implementation and optimization of processes, systems, tools, and support structures that foster greater consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency across the division.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across multiple operating companies.
• Conduct regular talent assessments, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives to ensure a robust leadership pipeline across the division.
• Identify and cultivate future leaders capable of taking on expanded roles within the division and across Kelso Industries as the company grows.
• Promote a collaborative, accountable, and innovative culture that aligns with the mission, values, and growth expectations of Kelso Industries.
• Standardize and scale best practices across the division while maintaining the strengths and customer relationships of each operating company.
• Collaborate with fellow Divisional Vice Presidents, functional leaders, and the executive leadership team to drive consistency, operational enhancement, and innovation throughout Kelso.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, company policies, and operational requirements.
• Advocate for disciplined execution concerning performance metrics, operational rhythm, project delivery, customer satisfaction, workforce planning, and leadership accountability.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the MEP, specialty contracting, construction, industrial services, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing P&L for a business, division, or region with revenues exceeding $150M.
• Demonstrated success in driving organic growth, operational enhancements, and profitability in a mid-to-large scale business environment.
• Experience in leading through influence across multiple locations, operating companies, business units, or markets.
• Willingness to travel frequently and reside near a major airport hub with same-day access to assigned divisions or operating companies as required.
