This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Consultants (SCs) both in the field and virtually by supporting sales calls and offering constructive feedback to enhance the skills of each SC during customer interactions as necessary.
• Provide leadership, engage in strategic planning, and oversee all sales activities to ensure the district organization attains maximum profitability and growth aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
• Partner with all operating divisions that support the sales organization to foster and maintain a collaborative work atmosphere.
• Recruit, select, train, assign territories, schedule individual work hours, mentor, counsel, and implement corrective measures (if needed) for employees in designated territories.
• Set sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the district and its territories.
• Collaborate closely with SCs to estimate anticipated sales volume and profit for both existing and new properties.
• Ensure that SCs adhere to plans to guarantee all goals are achieved.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and/or required.
• A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field and/or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in successfully expanding profitable sales within the B2B market segment is preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in field and/or virtual sales.
• Experience in managing a remote sales team is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from suppliers, customers, management, and inter-departmental staff.
• Capable of proactively and constructively collaborating with internal personnel from other departments.
• Outstanding listening, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Strong leadership abilities: the capacity to coach, mentor, develop, and guide individuals and teams.
• Demonstrates a high level of trust and accountability.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, including pricing and forecasting.
• Proficient in computer skills, including maintaining a customer database, navigating the Internet, and using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
