This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Accountable for achieving sales in accordance with established sales and marketing strategies.
• Tasked with executing and monitoring authorized sales and marketing initiatives and processes.
• Meet objectives related to new accounts and distribution as designated.
• Explore the market to gather insights and adapt to the evolving landscape to ensure Sun Gro's optimal positioning.
• Keep CRM data updated by accurately recording all sales activities and account notes in a timely manner.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of your territory, including competitors, potential clients, distributors, and other relevant business factors.
• Communicate with your supervisor(s) regarding any elements or activities that may impact your territory directly or indirectly, as well as with various departments within the company.
• Engage in regional meetings to strategize and evaluate business operations.
• Effectively address all customer inquiries, issues, or unique situations related to the performance of our products.
• Ensure the upkeep of Company equipment to maintain safety and a professional appearance at all times.
• Manage assigned territory expense budgets effectively.
• Submit sales and expense reports promptly as required to meet monthly deadlines.
• Preferred education in horticulture or relevant experience.
• A strong enthusiasm for horticulture with experience in lawn/garden retail or plant nurseries.
• Horticulture/Ag Certification is advantageous (State/County courses or continuing education).
• Experience in greenhouse/nursery production is a plus.
• Familiarity with Independent Garden Centers or horticulture departments in hardware stores is beneficial.
