This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Accountable for reaching out to designated dealers to assist them in achieving their sales targets.
• Collaborate with dealers to execute sales and promotional initiatives for Steinway, Boston, and Essex pianos.
• Aid dealers in managing their inventories to ensure they are maintained in showroom-ready condition.
• Facilitate promotional planning for assigned dealers, including the execution of the Steinway annual promotional calendar.
• Work alongside dealers to create and document sales strategies and promotional efforts.
• Generate follow-up reports to capture decisions and action items.
• Conduct follow-up meetings to assess outcomes and identify areas for enhancement.
• Provide sales assistance, coaching, and training to improve sales performance.
• Mentor dealers on utilizing our recommended CRM system for managing customer interactions.
• Coordinate with dealers on essential aspects of Steinway sales, encompassing Concert & Artist activities, Service & Technical Support, Merchandising, Sales Training, Product Knowledge, Promotional Planning and Execution, Institutional Sales, Inventory management, and orders.
• Supervise dealer-related activities, formal communications, and the attainment of sales objectives.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in business, customer service, luxury sales, or the arts.
• A minimum of 5 years of substantial piano sales management experience is essential.
• Exceptional business development and sales management capabilities.
• Strong skills in relationship building.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient follow-up and documentation skills.
• Basic familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Highly driven, results-oriented self-starter with outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently while generating new business.
• Experience or background in piano or music is required.
• Significant travel (up to 50%) is necessary for this position. Candidates must reside near a major airport.
