This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Take ownership of the territory by seeking new business prospects while also nurturing existing accounts.
• Maintain 6-10 points of contact within each account to enhance penetration.
• Effectively manage your calendar and territory to optimize coverage and outcomes.
• Identify and secure significant opportunities with a clear focus on key areas.
• Collaborate with customers on design initiatives and technical solutions.
• Utilize CRM and pipeline management tools to monitor and develop opportunities.
• Convert leads from trade shows, PEC reports, and digital channels into revenue streams.
• Work closely with manufacturer representatives to drive joint business development.
• Coordinate with Sales Development and Operations teams for optimal territory management.
• Attend local and regional wire & cable, industry, and OEM events to sustain market presence.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
• At least 2-3 years of prior experience in the distribution industry and/or direct selling.
• Strong technical skills with the capacity to grasp technical concepts and deliver hands-on product demonstrations.
• Relevant knowledge of Industrial Connector products (IDC, ÖC, Epic preferred).
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn business processes.
• Proven success in market research, cold calling, lead qualification, and closing deals.
• Experience with CRM and opportunity pipeline management.
• Strong negotiation skills and forecasting capabilities.
• Self-motivated individual with a drive for success.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills and a dedicated team player.
• High level of integrity.
• Expertise in customer discovery - ability to ask the right questions.
