This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Drive new business development by generating leads, fostering relationships, and prospecting within a large market that holds potential for market share growth.
• Oversee key accounts consisting of mid-sized and large clients, aiming to increase wallet share with existing customers.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and advancements within the industry.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the products or services offered to effectively address customer inquiries and showcase value.
• Manage and nurture an existing account base while expanding sales of other value-added manufactured products within the company's portfolio.
• Engage in problem-solving and value-added selling, focusing on acquiring and retaining customers along with repeat business.
• Monitor all sales activities, produce reports, and analyze sales data for strategic insights.
• Negotiate and finalize sales contracts and agreements to meet sales objectives.
• Maintain a strong customer focus on reducing total costs, enhancing production quality, and achieving Health, Safety, and Environmental goals.
• Effectively communicate customer needs and requirements across all functional areas of the company to ensure coordinated efforts leading to rapid organic sales growth.
• Consistently meet individual and team sales targets.
• Collaborate with the Research & Development (R&D) technical team to create selling opportunities and manage accounts.
• Travel to current and potential customers to establish relationships and propel sales growth.
• A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the industrial or chemical sector.
• Proven success in identifying leads, prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering compelling presentations.
• Demonstrated capacity to develop and sustain long-term customer relationships.
• High achievement orientation, with a strong drive to excel and expand.
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong skills in consultation, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Capability to grasp new product lines and leverage this knowledge in customer presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
• Proven sales and territory management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including overnight trips.
• Ability to conduct technical/mechanical on-site testing.
