This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee a well-established territory valued at approximately $4.5M while identifying prospects to enhance customer relationships and boost market share.
• Collaborate closely with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards to address their business requirements.
• Maintain a balance between sustaining existing business and actively seeking new opportunities for development.
• Represent metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessory products across various sectors including residential, agricultural, and commercial markets.
• Conduct educational programs for customers and training sessions for contractors while facilitating contractor pull-through initiatives.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support teams.
• Handle a high volume of customer interactions and transactions in a dynamic environment.
• Assist customers in navigating ongoing product and system integration initiatives following recent operational changes.
• 3 to 5+ years of sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with dealer/distribution sales channels is highly desirable.
• Background in estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles is valued.
• Strong relationship-building abilities with a dedication to consistent customer follow-up.
• A self-starter mentality with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple opportunities independently.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, customer-centric sales environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Willingness to meet with customers regularly throughout the territory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build credibility and rapport with customers.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
