This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and expand your territory, managing an established ~$4.5M area while seeking opportunities to enhance customer relationships and boost market share.
• Cultivate partnerships with customers by collaborating closely with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards to meet their business requirements.
• Propel sales growth by balancing the maintenance of current business with proactive prospecting and the development of new opportunities.
• Represent top-tier products in the industry, including metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessory products across residential, agricultural, and commercial markets.
• Facilitate product training and support pull-through sales by conducting educational sessions for customers and training programs for contractors.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration by building strong relationships with operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support teams.
• Deliver responsive customer support by handling a high volume of interactions and transactions in a dynamic environment.
• Assist customers in navigating brand integration during ongoing product and system transitions following recent operational changes.
• A preferred 3–5+ years of sales experience.
• Strongly preferred experience in building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or related industries.
• A solid understanding of dealer/distribution sales channels is highly preferred.
• Valued experience in estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with a dedication to consistent follow-up with customers.
• A self-starter mentality with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple opportunities independently.
• Comfort in operating within a fast-paced, customer-centric sales environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet with customers regularly throughout the territory.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the capability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with customers.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
