This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive district business strategy and territory plans to meet or surpass sales targets.
• Recruit, cultivate, and sustain a robust dealer network that aligns with the company’s distribution strategy.
• Establish and nurture relationships with dealers and growers; offer agronomic advice and guidance on product placement.
• Advocate for the brand’s positioning, value proposition, and customer experience while mentoring and influencing dealers to adopt successful sales techniques, marketing initiatives, and service practices that ensure a consistent experience for farmers.
• Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager, Market Development Manager, and Marketing Communications team to strategize and implement branded events, promotional campaigns, and dealer development programs.
• Leverage CRM and internal systems to accurately manage sales, inventory, and customer information, ensuring the prompt completion of essential operational tasks such as order bank oversight, returns, dumps, and account reconciliation.
• Track product performance and address customer inquiries; relay trends to the Area Sales Manager and Agronomy team.
• Organize test plots, field days, and branded events to highlight products and enhance engagement.
• Maintain company vehicles and adhere to company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, ag business, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience in the agricultural sector, ideally within the seed industry.
• Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation is advantageous.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, meet company MVR criteria, and adhere to CMV regulations.
• Dealer Development & Influence – Ability to coach and inspire dealers to meet brand standards and enhance customer experience.
• Sales & Territory Management – Proficient in devising and executing business and territory plans to achieve sales objectives.
• Communication & Relationship Building – Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities to foster trust with dealers and growers.
• Operational Discipline & Accountability – Capable of managing deadlines related to order bank, returns, dumps, and account reconciliation.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Skilled in interpreting data and making informed decisions.
• Technical Proficiency – Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
• Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with the seed industry and agronomic practices is preferred.
• Adaptability & Initiative – Capable of working independently and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
