This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +4 more states.
• The District Sales Manager - Midwest is tasked with overseeing distributor, contractor, OEM, named account, and industrial sales teams.
• Ensure that the team achieves objectives related to volume growth, price quality/margin, cost, and customer satisfaction through superior customer relations and enhanced market share.
• Develop tailored sales strategies for each account to boost ABB’s presence across various business units and divisions.
• Create a sales coverage strategy for the C&I/OEM segments that effectively utilizes the complete portfolio while being cost-efficient.
• Implement proactive geographical and account-specific measures that align with our behavioral objectives and sales strategies.
• Carry out the national distribution strategy on a local level, achieving coverage targets across ABB’s business units and fulfilling customer needs.
• Ensure that sales goals are met or surpassed, and that net margins enhance profitability.
• Supervise agent and distributor operations within the district, ensuring adherence to policies, conducting regular performance assessments, and making final commercial decisions.
• Build a pipeline of opportunities to meet order targets and monitor projects in SFDC.
• Implement the go-to-market strategy to optimize sales performance by managing scorecards, tracking business unit metrics, and executing strategic growth initiatives tailored to customer segments.
• Oversee partner relationships, including coordinating training for iReps, channel partners, and end users on products.
• Manage MSA contracts and negotiations with our partners.
• Responsible for the order performance of the entire ABB Electrification portfolio within the district.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, or a technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience in sales or sales management.
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in Senior Account Management.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience with the full range of products and services, including electrical and mechanical installation products.
• Previous experience with electrical distribution and manufacturers representatives.
• Capability to navigate large organizations with multiple stakeholders in the decision-making process.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 60% of the time.
• Choice between two medical plan options: a PPO plan named the Copay Plan OR a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) known as the High Deductible Plan.
