This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
β’ Lead and guide stores to achieve sales and profit objectives within the district.
β’ Create and execute strategies, policies, and procedures aimed at maximizing profitability.
β’ Analyze store sales and expenses, provide actionable feedback and recommendations, and present district sales data to the Regional Manager.
β’ Regularly visit district stores to ensure adherence to Petco policies, procedures, and merchandising strategies.
β’ Recruit, train, develop, and oversee Store Management while maintaining succession plans.
β’ Ensure associates receive training to deliver exceptional customer service and take corrective action when needed.
β’ Advise Store Managers on personnel matters, store events, problem-solving, and crisis management.
β’ Plan and monitor individual and store performance goals.
β’ Visit competitor locations and report on changes in pricing, operations, and policies.
β’ Audit store documentation and cash-control processes.
β’ Ensure adherence to shrink-reduction and Asset Protection initiatives.
β’ Coordinate new store openings, remodels, and repairs of store equipment.
β’ Guarantee accurate and timely completion of store documentation and routing of corporate communications.
β’ Promote adherence to established safety protocols.
β’ Monitor merchandise levels, balance stock across stores, and conduct physical inventory audits.
β’ Complete performance evaluations for Store Managers and recommend annual merit increases.
β’ Approve performance evaluations for store employees and provide guidance on progressive discipline.
β’ Communicate district situations and conditions to the relevant management or departments.
β’ Travel between stores, occasionally covering several hundred miles per week.
β’ Capable of performing all essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
β’ Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance to district stores.
β’ Proficient in analyzing sales and expense data to make operational recommendations.
β’ Skilled in recruiting, training, developing, and managing Store Management and personnel.
β’ Competent in making staffing decisions, resolving issues, and exercising independent judgment.
β’ Experienced in conducting store inspections, audits, and inventory assessments.
β’ Adept at managing customer service training and implementing corrective measures.
β’ Capable of coordinating store openings, remodels, repairs, and inventory management.
β’ Able to administer and approve employee performance evaluations and implement progressive discipline.
β’ Willingness to travel regularly between stores, sometimes covering several hundred miles per week.
