This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee and assist large wholesale distributors that promote Structural Connector and Hardy Frame product lines within the Lumber and Building Material (LBM) dealer channel.
• Partner with distributors and internal teams to ensure optimal positioning of our company throughout the residential construction supply chain, enhancing sales and market visibility.
• Formulate a sales strategy with defined and measurable sales targets in collaboration with Management that aligns with the overall objectives and strategy of the company.
• Lead distributor training sessions and connect distributors with the relevant internal resources to achieve customer service objectives.
• Collaborate closely with distributors to pinpoint and secure viable LBM dealer account opportunities in the district.
• Proactively interact with distributors and their customers to comprehend customer needs and how best to address them.
• Recognize current and emerging needs and market trends to inform the Company's strategic direction.
• Reach out to and inform engineers, design professionals, builders, framers, and building officials in both residential and commercial sectors to ensure builder products are recognized and specified throughout the district.
• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer account records, leads, and opportunities using Salesforce.
• Foster multi-tiered networks within the regional residential supply chain to positively influence the sales process.
• Address channel conflicts to support distributors and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company through active involvement in regional industry associations.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical B2B sales is required.
• At least 2 years of experience working for or with distribution is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the residential and/or commercial construction industry is required.
• Experience in a specification-driven industry is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to fulfill the essential functions of the role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications.
