Distribution Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Regional Distribution Managers to fulfill logistical requirements and responsibilities associated with Plug Power’s logistics network.

• Deliver exceptional customer service for both future and existing clients via email and phone communication.

• Monitor telemetry on an hourly basis, gather data, and analyze historical usage patterns.

• Maintain an internal tracking report that includes telemetry levels and customer communications.

• Relay immediate fulfillment status updates and any delivery concerns to logistics management, operations, customer service, and external clients.

• Utilize company software to accurately forecast customer demand.

• Adapt to customer demand fluctuations and strategize accordingly to ensure customer supply levels are met.

• Communicate and document operations, supplier, and customer events effectively within the team.

• Anticipate liquid hydrogen deliveries from both Plug Power facilities and third-party providers.

• Predict compressed hydrogen deliveries from Plug Power facilities and third-party providers.

• Collaborate closely with vendors to supervise subcontracted liquid hydrogen deliveries and ensure fulfillment for Plug clients.

• Engage with customer stakeholders and surpass service expectations to uphold Plug Power’s reputation as a leader in hydrogen fuel cell power solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain, transportation dispatch, demand planning, or forecasting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with software is a plus.

• Exemplary professionalism and a role model for high standards.

• Results-oriented with a driven work ethic.

• Capable of problem-solving and prioritizing work assignments effectively.

• Ability to collaborate efficiently with all levels of management and support staff.

• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Must be responsive to drivers’ needs and promptly address emails and inquiries.

• Must pay attention to all internal emails and Microsoft Teams inquiries.

• Availability to work Wednesday to Saturday, from 9 PM to 7 AM.

• Must be able to work in Vista/Slingerlands and/or remotely on the East Coast.
