Distribution & Automation Engineering – Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the project director or operations director to create project charters.

• Oversee elements of project design and implementation strategies.

• Administer and report on project budgets and schedules.

• Assist in the development of supplier specifications and contract negotiations.

• Supervise the execution of contract plans.

• Coordinate engagement with external consultants and outsourced resources for material handling equipment, warehouse and business systems, building modifications, and other services.

• Facilitate activities with project and operations directors as well as internal project teams.

• Aid in the preparation of capital expenditure requests.

• Oversee project completion, including construction/installation, inspection, testing, training, and start-up.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, accountancy, sales, marketing, logistics, computer sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

• At least five years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.

• Knowledge and experience in leading projects associated with warehouse operations, design, business systems, process improvement and standardization, engineered labor standards, and transportation.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse technical and business backgrounds.

• Capacity to lead and motivate work teams.

• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Capability to convey difficult or sensitive information tactfully.

• Proficient presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to effectively and efficiently resolve issues.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Access databases, Word, and AutoCAD.

• Previous experience in consulting, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen is advantageous.
