This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee initiatives related to the pricing and development of life products, which includes conducting market research, assessing profitability and risk-return profiles, making pricing recommendations, and preparing documentation.
• Collaborate across various departments to guide life products from initial concept through to implementation and launch.
• Create and uphold pricing governance frameworks and manage in-force processes effectively.
• Facilitate continuous monitoring of product profitability and market competitiveness throughout the product lifecycle.
• Generate timely and insightful analytics and forecasts to aid in executive-level decision-making.
• Contribute to the performance reporting and evaluation of pricing strategies and product results.
• Improve and operationalize pricing models and tools, focusing on enhancing efficiency, model controls, governance of assumptions, and thorough documentation.
• Ensure that pricing tools and processes comply with internal control and governance standards.
• Collaborate with teams in Product, Distribution, Operations, Valuation/Finance, Risk/ALM, Legal/Compliance, and IT to facilitate pricing initiatives and address production challenges across platforms.
• Assist with ad hoc analytical requests for key stakeholders, including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Corporate Development.
• Engage in regulatory communications when necessary.
• Aid in responding to inquiries pertaining to pricing methodologies and product filings.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education and experience).
• At least 10 years of actuarial experience along with an FSA designation.
• In-depth understanding of life insurance regulatory and accounting frameworks, including PBR, GAAP, and LDTI.
• Proven capability to present intricate actuarial analyses in a clear and effective manner to executives and senior stakeholders.
• Established ability to foster collaborative relationships across various functional areas.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
• Experience with enterprise pricing or actuarial modeling platforms, such as MG-ALFA or similar tools, is preferred.
• Prior experience in pricing and product development within the life insurance sector is preferred.
