Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Support financial analysis, pricing strategies, and risk assessments to project outcomes.

• Create and evaluate intricate financial and statistical reports concerning the quality, cost, and efficiency of healthcare services.

• Develop budgets and forecasts while analyzing financial performance against anticipated results.

• Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to determine financial outcomes.

• Aid in the creation of probability tables using statistical data and other relevant information.

• Examine and assess necessary premium rates.

• Evaluate cash reserves and liabilities to facilitate future benefit payments.

• Help establish a fair basis for the allocation of funds for insurance benefits.

• Engage in analysis related to mergers and acquisitions.

• Execute additional responsibilities that may differ by actuarial team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 0–3 years of experience in the actuarial field.

• Completion of at least one actuarial exam — REQUIRED.

• Strong commitment to pursuing an actuarial career.

• Demonstrated advancement towards ASA designation.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, indexing, and data analysis.

• Preferred: Experience with VBA.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python, or R programming.
