This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Direct the management of portfolio and investment strategies within Technology, ensuring alignment with technology investments, enterprise priorities, transformation initiatives, and business portfolio goals.
• Develop and oversee investment governance, which includes demand governance, funding alignment, intake standards, prioritization methods, sequencing decisions, and decision-making forums for the portfolio.
• Supervise the intake, prioritization, and sequencing of technology initiatives, assessing them based on strategic alignment, business value, financial impact, capacity, risk, dependencies, and readiness for execution.
• Collaborate with business portfolio teams, Segment CIOs, Tech Finance, Transformation Office partners, initiative owners, and technology delivery leaders.
• Conduct portfolio reviews that address current and proposed investments, strategic priorities, funding needs, initiative health, delivery readiness, and anticipated value realization.
• Manage performance tracking and value realization, monitoring business outcomes, value commitments, indicators, delivery progress, financial performance, and benefits realization.
• Act as a liaison with business segments for tracking value, conducting portfolio performance reviews, escalating initiatives, and aligning technology execution with segment priorities.
• Own and improve portfolio controls, dashboards, and initiative health dashboards to provide executives with visibility into performance, risk, dependencies, financials, delivery progress, and transformation status.
• Define and execute portfolio operating rhythms, governance routines, escalation paths, decision rights, and controls.
• Collaborate with the Transformation Office to ensure alignment of transformation strategy, mapped initiatives, investment priorities, delivery execution, and value realization.
• Lead or coordinate the execution of transformation initiatives in Technology, ensuring governance, staffing, funding, sequencing, monitoring, and reporting of initiatives.
• Promote consistency in portfolio management, investment governance, transformation execution, intake, prioritization, sequencing, performance management, and executive reporting.
• Work alongside Finance to influence investment decisions by analyzing cost, value, affordability, strategic alignment, and expected returns.
• Provide leadership in portfolio management processes, tools, reporting, operating models, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement strategic plans to drive portfolio goals and objectives, enhance performance, and contribute to functional strategy.
• Manage large-scale, high-visibility programs, initiatives, and governance processes across various teams, functions, and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership.
• Extensive experience leading special projects, as well as creating metrics, measurements, and trend reports.
• Commitment to continually enhancing consumer experiences.
• Proven experience in technology portfolio management, investment governance, transformation management, or large-scale program governance.
• Background in managing demand intake, prioritization, sequencing, portfolio reviews, and investment decision-making processes.
• Experience in aligning technology initiatives with business strategies, enterprise priorities, transformation outcomes, financial plans, and delivery capacities.
• Proficient in developing and managing executive-level portfolio dashboards, initiative health reports, performance metrics, and value realization reports.
• Experience collaborating with senior leaders, business segments, finance teams, transformation groups, and technology delivery organizations.
• Ability to lead governance routines, portfolio controls, operating rhythms, escalation processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Skilled in influencing across functions and segments, managing competing priorities, and driving alignment among senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of technology delivery, enterprise planning, financial management, portfolio performance, and strategic execution.
• MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
• Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications, and processes.
• Preferred certifications include Agile, Lean Portfolio Management, SAFe, or related portfolio/transformation certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, highly visible programs with accountability for multiple project teams.
• Experience with enterprise strategy execution functions.
• Experience leading annual portfolio reviews, investment governance, value realization, and initiative health reporting processes.
• Experience in establishing or enhancing portfolio controls, executive dashboards, governance forums, and cross-functional collaboration methods.
• Proven ability to connect transformation strategy with technology execution plans, investment portfolios, and measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to work from a dedicated workspace without interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
