This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Develop and oversee strategic procurement initiatives that support project development and construction teams.
• Plan the procurement of major equipment in collaboration with Development, Engineering, and Project Management for project allocation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders across various departments.
• Issue, manage, and assess RFPs for equipment procurement.
• Lead negotiations for equipment supply agreements.
• Ensure that equipment adheres to bankability, performance, and reliability standards.
• Manage logistics and scheduling for equipment to guarantee timely delivery.
• Support and nurture supplier relationships concerning PV modules, BESS, inverters, racking, transformers, and breakers.
• Act as a subject matter expert on supply chain trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics.
• Manage forward-looking product cost and performance roadmaps by leveraging vendor relationships and market research.
• Gather and report on global market, commodity, and policy updates.
• Manage and revise company policies as needed.
• Report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain.
• 6-8+ years of experience in supply chain management within the solar or electric utility sector.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
• Experience in strategic category management for high-voltage equipment is preferred.
• Experience in supporting capital construction projects is preferred.
• Experience in developing processes and procedures is preferred.
