This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop and oversee a customer pipeline, revenue growth objectives, and global go-to-market strategies for Managed Transportation opportunities through 100% proactive outreach efforts.
• Organize onsite industry events with select partners and potential customers.
• Formulate strategies and contribute to market-facing materials aimed at positioning the Redwood brand as the premier Managed Transportation solution in the industry.
• Provide support and scale the Managed Transportation practice as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Consistently achieve quarterly and annual performance targets.
• Create proposals and negotiate/close complex contracts effectively.
• Collaborate across functional teams within Redwood to ensure the Managed Transportation product aligns with customer demands and requirements to secure deals.
• Establish scalable Sales/GTM motions and initiatives.
• Identify new markets, verticals, and partners to facilitate growth within those segments.
• Compile product feedback obtained from customer and prospect interactions and advocate for our customers with internal development and product teams.
• Implement Agile Sales practices to ensure a consistent sales process is followed, with continual improvement day by day, week by week.
• Develop Land and Expand strategies to address customer needs while allowing for future growth of Redwood Logistics products and services.
• Utilize Salesforce proficiently to update leads, opportunities, and real-time customer status.
• Guarantee a seamless transition from Sales to Account Management.
• Analyze data and collaborate with customers, partners, and stakeholders to capture feedback, understand business needs, and build consensus.
• Establish and measure KPIs that propel key product and business decisions forward.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, best practices, and change management to enhance performance and increase profitability.
• Collaborate with other executives on cost, value, and risk assessment of new projects and products.
• Represent Redwood Logistics as a domain and product expert during customer engagements.
• A proven hunter with over 10 years of experience in a sales role, specifically in logistics/supply chain.
• At least 5 years of experience in a SaaS, technology, or managed transportation environment.
• Previous experience with 3PL solutions and/or operations.
• A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quota.
• Ability to think strategically while also being willing to take hands-on action to complete necessary tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.
• A solid understanding of both business needs and technology capabilities, with the ability to articulate that knowledge in clear terms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to quickly develop and nurture relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership, engaging in the sales cycle, and managing sensitive customer escalations.
• A growth mindset and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a proven ability to reach ambitious goals in an innovative and fast-paced setting.
• Prior training in sales processes and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
