This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, promote, and secure initial funding for a dynamic portfolio of new strategic initiatives aligned with GRID’s strategic plan.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations that share our mission.
• Create and sustain strategic partnerships with businesses that align with our mission.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance program development and explore funding opportunities.
• Work together with the policy team to identify opportunities for advancing policies and supporting advocacy efforts.
• Participate in thought leadership initiatives both internally and externally alongside the communications team.
• Oversee and sometimes manage project-specific contractors.
• Undertake occasional ad-hoc projects within the Strategic Development & Initiatives team and the Policy & Programs Department.
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in deploying clean energy technologies within underserved communities.
• Proven skills and a successful history in securing substantial governmental and/or philanthropic funding.
• Professional expertise and experience with markets and technologies pertinent to GRID’s strategic initiatives.
• Established knowledge of and relationships with key stakeholders and organizations in the equitable clean energy deployment sector.
• Professional knowledge and experience with governmental policies and publicly funded programs for the deployment of clean energy technologies in underserved communities.
• Exceptional persuasive and explanatory communication skills across various formats, including concept notes, presentations, emails, in-person discussions, and funding proposals.
• Willingness to be available for occasional nights and weekends.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record if using a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
• California hires are required to pass a screening for specified illegal drugs.
