
Director, Strategic Finance – Venue Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Act as the main strategic finance partner and financial consultant for Venue Management leadership, including the President.
• Provide guidance on strategy, investment choices, portfolio/venue-level economics, and growth initiatives.
• Represent the financial stance and priorities of Venue Management in corporate-level planning activities.
• Evaluate assumptions, assess risk, and outline trade-offs to aid BU decision-making.
• Coordinate finance, data, personnel, and systems priorities across Controllership, Insights/Analytics, HR, and IT.
• Manage the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning process across venues, regions, and functional leaders.
• Lead monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
• Enhance analytical infrastructure, including models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
• Collaborate with Controllership on close-related issues to ensure reported results are accurate, defensible, and audit-ready.
• Convert operational and financial data into actionable business decisions.
• Work alongside HR and IT on organizational design, staffing, and system requirements, including ERP rollout.
• Review monthly financial outcomes and align operational drivers with reported metrics.
• Oversee the Venue Management KPI framework, which includes EBITDA, margin, budget achievement, and venue-level profitability.
• Prepare BU-level financial results and narratives for corporate and global consolidation processes.
• Identify and quantify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and margin enhancement.
• Collaborate with the President to prioritize and monitor execution.
• Engage in cross-enterprise finance initiatives such as ERP implementations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• MBA or CFA is preferred.
• Extensive progressive finance experience.
• Proven FP&A leadership.
• History of direct business partnership with senior operating executives at the President/GM/COO level or equivalent.
• Experience in a private equity-backed or multi-site setting is strongly preferred.
• A background in venue management, live events, hospitality, sports & entertainment, or another multi-site operational business is advantageous.
• Strong ERP and systems proficiency, such as D365 or similar platforms.
• Experience in partnering through an ERP implementation is a plus.
• Executive presence and judgment to function as a trusted advisor to a BU President.
• Capability to deliver challenging financial truths and strategic opportunities.

• Ability to distill complex financial analyses into a clear narrative for diverse audiences.
