This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for Supply Chain and Marketing.

• Transform operational activities into insightful decisions, assisting functional leaders in understanding financial trade-offs.

• Collaborate with leaders across freight, warehousing, sourcing, marketing, technology, and enterprise functions.

• Define financial drivers, enhance forecast accuracy, challenge assumptions, and establish a consistent operating rhythm.

• Assess investments, initiatives, and operational decisions through business cases, scenario analyses, sensitivities, and return evaluations.

• Link resource needs to anticipated business outcomes and convert operational queries into financial recommendations.

• Highlight risks, dependencies, and trade-offs for management consideration.

• Assist in disciplined investment planning for technology-driven initiatives.

• Align the technology roadmap with financial strategies, expected business results, and enterprise priorities.

• Provide transparency into operating expenses, capital investments, and one-time costs.

• Manage planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for Merchandising & Marketing.

• Analyze marketing expenditures, resource distribution, program effectiveness, and expected growth contributions.

• Create assessments of marketing investment, performance, and returns.

• Support initiatives for expanding new product offerings with analysis and market entry strategies.

• Lead the finance partnership within freight, warehousing, and sourcing sectors.

• Develop driver-based perspectives on costs and profitability.

• Examine freight economics, warehouse costs and productivity, sourcing performance, vendor economics, purchase-cost trends, and supply chain drivers.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and assess trade-offs.

• Enhance insights into volume, mix, rates, capacity, inventory, labor, vendor relationships, and service-level risks and opportunities.

• Prepare executive-level narratives, analyses, and recommendations.

• Foster collaboration among Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology, and other departments.

• Lead and mentor one analyst.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is required.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, commercial finance, supply chain finance, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.

• Proven track record in leading planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for intricate operational functions.

• Outstanding financial modeling capabilities, including driver-based forecasting, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and business case development.

• Strong grasp of operating cost drivers and the ability to relate financial outcomes to business actions.

• Experience collaborating with Technology, Supply Chain/Operations, Marketing, or other cross-functional leaders.

• Capability to effectively engage with senior executives and functional leaders on critical operational and strategic matters.

• Strong business acumen and comfort in navigating imperfect information, shifting priorities, and multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to distill complex analyses into clear recommendations.

• Demonstrated capacity to influence without relying solely on formal authority.

• Experience in leading or developing analysts and enhancing the quality of analytical outputs.

• Participation in E-Verify.
