This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish a sustainable business foundation that not only meets but surpasses revenue and order intake goals for designated accounts within the assigned territory.
• Serve as a key driver in GGS’ expanded sales strategy.
• Spearhead new business development across various retail verticals such as Grocery, Discount Department, Quick Serve Restaurants, Check Cashing, and other cash-handling customers.
• Manage the entire sales pipeline on a daily basis, which includes generating new leads, qualifying them, developing opportunities, presenting solutions, and finalizing new business.
• Foster ongoing relationships with multiple stakeholders within client organizations.
• Address customer conflicts swiftly and effectively.
• Travel 50%+ within the geographic territory as needed.
• Participate in trade shows to promote products when necessary, along with attending internal sales meetings organized by the company.
• A minimum of 8 years of solution-based sales experience, including at least 5 years of sales experience in the retail market selling POS solutions, software, hardware, cash handling equipment, or other B2B scenarios.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, motivation, and the ability to adhere to a structured sales process while developing and executing a sales plan with enthusiasm.
• The role requires a “hunter mentality” with proven success in penetrating tier 1 and upper tier 2 retail accounts (those exceeding $1 Billion in revenue with over 500 stores) and engaging in high-level contact selling solutions that drive sales.
• The ideal candidate will be capable of employing a solution-based sales approach (rather than merely product selling) to senior executives at larger local and community banks within their area.
• Strong skills in account management, closing deals, and “win-win” negotiation are crucial.
• Excellent business writing and communication abilities are essential.
• Proficient in creating and modifying PowerPoint presentations.
• Effective use of Excel and other Microsoft applications is required.
• Experience in designing and negotiating successful sales proposals that involve pricing calculations to meet gross profit targets.
