Director, State Government Affairs – SE Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Assist in overseeing DaVita’s public policy initiatives within the Southeast Region.

• Evaluate state legislative and regulatory challenges as well as opportunities.

• Implement strategies to fulfill organizational goals and objectives.

• Create advocacy materials and resources for state policy campaigns and initiatives.

• Offer guidance and direction to senior management regarding public policy issues.

• Oversee external state lobbying teams, including the engagement and monitoring of relevant legislation and regulations.

• Develop and implement long-term strategic objectives for state public policy.

• Manage the execution of initiatives to achieve the organization’s public policy goals.

• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and community organizations.

• Assist in formulating and executing political contribution strategies.

• Advocate for DaVita’s interests before state legislative and regulatory bodies in the Southeast region of the United States.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 10 years of experience in public policy and/or corporate government affairs within the state legislative or regulatory framework.

• Proven ability to independently drive significant state advocacy campaigns and initiatives.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple high-profile issues concurrently.

• Preferred background and knowledge in health care policy.

• Must reside in the Southeast Region overseen by this role.
