This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead the engineering team responsible for Transitions of Care.
• Report directly to the VP of Engineering.
• Supervise around 50 engineers through 10–11 managers and senior managers.
• Collaborate with Product Management to create and implement roadmaps.
• Align engineering strategies with business goals and the long-term platform vision.
• Integrate various engineering teams into a unified organization with distinct priorities and shared objectives.
• Ensure the platform capabilities are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Drive technical architecture decisions across Core and Application & Platform Services technology stacks.
• Coach, mentor, and develop managers and senior managers.
• Guide the prioritization of technical initiatives and align investments with strategic goals.
• Lead efforts in hiring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, customer success, and executive stakeholders.
• Advocate for Agile and Kanban methodologies.
• Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Support the development and scaling of AI-driven products and services.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including substantial leadership experience within complex technology organizations.
• Demonstrated experience leading large engineering teams through multiple management levels, including managers and senior managers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven success in partnering with Product Management and executive stakeholders to outline strategy, prioritize investments, and achieve business outcomes.
• Experience in defining and implementing software engineering best practices throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
• Strong organizational leadership experience, encompassing coaching leaders, driving change, and building high-performing teams.
• Experience in delivering large-scale cloud-based solutions utilizing Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with contemporary AI technologies.
• Robust background in technical architecture with the ability to assess trade-offs and guide strategic technology decisions.
• Capability to influence engineering, product, sales, customer success, and executive teams.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, accountability, and commitment to achieving results.
