This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearheading data generation initiatives to fill evidence gaps in the fields of bone and endocrinology.
• Leading real-world evidence efforts (such as phase IV studies, managed access programs, etc.) to meet regulatory, commercial, and access needs.
• Assisting in the analysis and sharing of data sourced from real-world registries and data repositories pertinent to the therapeutic area.
• Supervising secondary analyses of clinical trial data informed by field insights and critical knowledge deficiencies.
• Contributing to the overarching strategic plan and crafting data generation and dissemination activities that align with the strategy.
• Directing the creation of scientific publications that align with the broader Brand Plan and Medical Strategic Plan, focusing on the diagnosis and management within the therapeutic area.
• Collaborating with various functional teams to produce educational materials for diverse stakeholders (e.g., physicians, patients) that support the diagnosis and management in the therapeutic area.
• Providing education to relevant internal teams regarding the therapeutic area.
• Identifying, establishing connections, and fostering professional relationships with thought leaders, healthcare professionals, active and prospective study investigators, and professional organizations within the designated geography.
• Engaging in scientific discourse in response to inquiries from thought leaders.
• Acting as a liaison for healthcare professionals interested in conducting investigator-initiated research to facilitate the review and consideration of research proposals.
• Collaborating with external scientists and clinicians on projects related to the diagnosis and management within the therapeutic area.
• Employing scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations to diverse audiences across various settings, including advisory boards and patient advocacy groups.
• An advanced science or clinical degree at the Master's level or higher (e.g., MD, DO, Pharm.D., PhD, NP, PA, MPH, MHS, or MS).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs or clinical/scientific research and publications.
• Familiarity with rare diseases.
• A background in clinical research, including experience in data generation and analysis.
• Prior experience as an author on scientific publications.
• Demonstrated ability to write and edit scientific content for abstracts, posters, presentations, digital enhancements, and manuscripts that align with scientific narratives and goals.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.
• Comprehension of statistical methods in clinical study design, survival analysis, and longitudinal analysis.
• A background in epidemiology and/or biostatistics to identify suitable analytic strategies for evaluating scientific inquiries.
• Proficient in data analysis using Excel or equivalent tools.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly and succinctly to various internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, personal integrity, networking aptitude, and proficient oral and written communication abilities.
• Skilled at identifying relevant literature to support scientific publications and strategic initiatives.
• Expertise in developing and interpreting data tables and visualizations to enhance scientific communication.
• Well-versed in using standard tools for scientific publications, including collaborative authoring through MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with internal functions, external partners, authors, and reviewers, to gather feedback and incorporate insights into final deliverables.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
