This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and manage extensive sales commission plans for more than 100 employees within Sales, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and various other departments.

• Collaborate closely with the SVP of Revenue Operations, Sales Leaders, and Finance to model, forecast, and synchronize compensation strategies with our overarching go-to-market objectives.

• Evaluate the operational viability of proposed plans, ensuring that the designed strategies can be efficiently administered at scale.

• Directly oversee, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of two compensation professionals, managing their daily tasks, monthly deliverables, and professional development.

• Utilize compensation tools and technology to enhance processes, automate commission calculations, and boost overall operational efficiency.

• Proactively identify opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) for automating manual workflows, reconciling complex datasets, and expediting the validation of commission outputs.

• Create, build, and standardize detailed monthly and quarterly reporting packages tailored for Finance and Sales Leadership to monitor commission spending, budget variances, and effectiveness of plans.

• Collect and analyze sales data, performance metrics, and revenue trends to provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations for future plan adjustments.

• Supervise the monthly commission cycle with an exceptional standard of accuracy, pledging to personally review each employee's statement in detail every month.

• Become proficient in our primary commission tool (CaptivateIQ), while ensuring the process architecture is ready for a swift transition if necessary.

• Ensure all plans remain competitive, fair, and compliant with applicable financial standards and regulations.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to sellers and sales leadership, producing clear, concise documentation and conducting regular feedback sessions (surveys, town halls) to uphold high motivation and transparency.

• Collaborate with Finance to implement robust auditing, reconciliation, and expense forecasting workflows.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of specialized experience in sales compensation design and administration, showcasing a proven ability to navigate the intricacies of a consumption-based business model.

• At least 3 years of experience in directly managing, mentoring, and assessing direct reports within a revenue operations or corporate compensation setting.

• Demonstrated capability to advise senior leadership on go-to-market strategies, along with a strong commitment to commissions administration and meticulous attention to details.

• Advanced proficiency in commission automation platforms (especially CaptivateIQ, though familiarity with Varicent or Xactly is a plus).

• Practical experience in utilizing AI tools or advanced automation scripts for streamlining manual data reconciliation (Claude, Gemini).

• Expert-level skills in Google Sheets / Excel are essential, along with a readiness to manually manage extensive commission infrastructure if necessary.

• Familiarity with the broader technology stack: Salesforce, Adaptive, Intaact.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is preferred.

• Outstanding analytical problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills required for effectively managing cross-functional stakeholders.
