This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Formulate and implement the commercial strategy aimed at enhancing revenue growth, retaining customers, expanding market presence, and improving profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-achieving commercial team, setting clear expectations, developing capabilities, and creating succession plans across sales, account management, and customer success functions.
• Develop and sustain executive-level relationships with key customers, establishing AMS as a reliable partner that delivers measurable improvements in productivity, compliance, sustainability, and operational performance.
• Facilitate new business acquisition and cross-divisional growth opportunities by utilizing the extensive range of Thermo Fisher's products, services, and digital solutions.
• Implement a structured commercial operating model that encompasses account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, opportunity evaluations, and executive deal support.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery, Data & Insights, Digital Platforms, Product Management, and GBS to ensure that commercial commitments lead to successful customer outcomes and scalable service delivery.
• Gather and interpret market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to refine AMS offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches.
• Act as a member of the AMS Leadership Team, contributing to business strategy, organizational development, transformation efforts, and the fulfillment of AMS STRAP objectives.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years of experience in commercial leadership within life sciences, scientific services, healthcare services, or other intricate B2B settings.
• At least 5 years of proven success in sales leadership and people management positions.
• Demonstrated capability to sell consultative, outcome-oriented, or managed service solutions to enterprise clients.
• Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and fostering business growth in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in developing and executing strategic commercial plans and go-to-market initiatives.
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, procurement leaders, and cross-functional leadership teams.
