This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take responsibility for the health, performance, and business results of the Credits function, encompassing inventory management, aging performance, compliance risk, and operational throughput.
• Spearhead the design and implementation of a scalable credits operating model that maintains steady-state performance while being prepared for surges during high inflow or operational disruptions.
• Develop and oversee clear processes for prioritization, escalation, approvals, holds, bulk resolution strategies, and issue remediation across intricate credit populations.
• Enhance visibility into credits performance through leading indicators, governance routines, and disciplined reviews that differentiate operational pressure from genuine financial or compliance risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and audit requirements while establishing robust controls.
• Convert enterprise and ROPS priorities into a well-defined credits strategy aimed at decreasing inflow, expediting resolution, improving yield protection, and reducing financial exposure.
• Lead collaborative efforts to identify and resolve the root causes of credit creation, partnering with teams across payment posting, registration, billing, collections, payor strategy, legal, compliance, and analytics.
• Promote operational innovation through automation, advanced analytics, workflow optimization, and scalable bulk resolution methods that enhance consistency and efficiency.
• Anticipate future business needs and shifting risk patterns, proactively adjusting team structure, capabilities, and operational mechanisms to ensure long-term resilience.
• Guide, mentor, and develop managers and team members within the Credits organization, cultivating a strong pool of talent and future leaders.
• Establish clear role expectations, operating rhythms, and development pathways that enhance functional expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership maturity.
• Foster a culture of ownership, resilience, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while emphasizing accountability for results and alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by conveying credits performance, risks, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.
• Influence decisions across functions without direct authority, creating strong relationships and alignment with internal and external stakeholders vital to credits outcomes.
• Facilitate executive discussions, operational forums, and partner dialogues concerning credit inventory, aging, system credits, policy interpretation, and operational obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of progressive leadership experience, including direct oversight of revenue cycle, credits, collections, or related operational teams.
• Proven success in leading complex operational functions, promoting process improvement, and achieving measurable business results in a highly matrixed environment.
• Experience in managing risk, compliance-sensitive workflows, and cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong strategic thinking, operational judgment, analytical skills, and executive communication abilities.
• Healthcare revenue cycle experience is strongly preferred.
